Motion for Final Cut Pro
Users
If you have Final Cut Studio then you already have Motion sitting there as one of the packages in the suite. But you may not be making full use of all its potential. This course will prep editors to be able to add titles and lower-third graphics into their existing workflow, covering both technical expertise and artistic choices.
- create titles and lower thirds, enhance them in Motion and render out of FCP
- locate the tools required in the Motion interface
- animate display text and items on the screen quickly and easily
- quickly create unique graphic backgrounds
- identify the 3 basic principles of animation
- discuss the use of different fonts for display text
- apply the virtual camera to screen elements in 3D
- use blend modes to enhance footage
- operate the behaviours that control re-timing footage and speed changes
- identify when to use FCP for titles and when to use Motion
- practice these new techniques in a learning situation
