Day One (Planning & Shooting) 
- Introduction to the limitations of web-based videos 
- Identify compression issues and solve them 
- Story structure, film length and script considerations 
- Technical issues (e.g. aspect ratio, 4x3 or 16x9), 
- Practical considerations (e.g. tripod vs handheld) 
- Camera, sound & lighting training 
- Planning and shooting footage for the short film


Day Two (Editing) 
- Digitising footage 
- Editing 
- How to edit more quickly (FCP tips & shortcuts) 
- Practical production tips (incl. backup strategy) 
- Adding titles and audio


Day Three (Post Production) 
- Colour correcting/Adjusting for exposure 
- Re-framing for the internet 
- Fixing problems (e.g. shaky camera footage) 
- Compressing for the web/uploading to online video sites 
- How to share videos for Windows and mobile devices


This course is for people who want to: 
- Learn how to edit on Final Cut Pro 
- Output video with a view to web distribution 
- Learn how to shoot with a view to web distribution 
- Gain a basic understanding of sound editing 
- Work with effects and generating text 
- Prepare films for distribution on the web 
- Attract traffic to films and content
