How To Write A Script


Visualise the images and the narrative together at this stage and make notes in the script. If you are planning a PTC (piece to camera), learn your lines before filming begins, unless you are used to improvising. 

Scriptwriting

This process includes taking an idea and forging it into a text, which will inform the video or presentation. It becomes the ‘script’ which the producer and the director work from in pre and post production. It is usual for a script to go through numerous changes as the project develops and before it is finalised. 

Storyboards and mood boards are tools also included in the scripting stage as a way to communicate ideas and timelines to others working on the project. Scripts include video or shot reference along with the narration text or spoken word text.
