Colour Correction and
Grading
Colour grading can be used in a variety of ways to enhance video, from correcting for exposure, ensuring colour continuity through a scene to adding an overall look and visual atmosphere for the film.
The colourist now plays an important part of the production, balancing colour saturation and luminance from shot to shot, so that no one shot stands out in the sequence, as well as ensuring consistency throughout the production.
One of our recent short films was based on a piece of music composed by Tony Seeger of Seraph Harp Guitars that relies heavily on a graded look, to create a mood which reflects the story behind the music.
