How to Look Good on Video is a seminar designed for women in business who want to attend to the various dilemmas regarding presenting, preparing for being on camera, projecting confidence and overcoming nerves.
As well as the need to source a good production company to help with this and being unsure of the cost, there are other considerations too. For example: how do I dress if I am having my photo taken? How do I stand? What should I wear? I don’t like seeing myself on video so how do I present myself? How do I talk without sounding rushed or nervous?
We will observe how others project themselves and learn about how the camera “takes” our picture and why the image does not often reflect how we see ourselves. What can be done to improve the image on camera and what can be done to prepare?
The course will also cover how to plan a video for your website. There are many things to consider before filming begins and this course is designed to help women to script and plan their own PTC. (Piece to Camera)
What can be done before a production company becomes involved? For women planning their own video, this course gives tips and practical advice on how to set up the process. Other topics covered include Industry pitfalls such as copyright of any music used, location permission, clearance for actors and permission for images.
The seminar discusses standard techniques for presentation including posture, what to wear, how to project your voice, how to keep control of your speech and body movements in a stressful situation, how to deflect negative comments and remain centered.
How to Look Good on Video deals with these issues by including practical training tips and confidence building. The course is for women only and run by a woman to address issues of a uniquely female nature.
The pressures of running a family and a business or job can mean that we don’t always feel our best. This course helps women to focus their attention on practical ways to overcome this and to develop an authentic presentation of their business whether it be for video or for the boardroom.
